I will admit, I neglect the seasonal maintenance of my HVAC system. During the spring, I wash windows and curtains. I go through every inch of the house, and make sure everything is clean and smelling fresh. I think a lot about calling the HVAC contractor and scheduling a tuneup for my air conditioner, but I never do. In the fall, I get the house ready for winter. I drag out all of the winter clothes, and make sure the snow shovel and driveway salt are accessible. I make plans to contact the HVAC professionals. I never do. As my heating and cooling systems get older, they are less reliable. They operate less efficiently and cost me more and more in energy bills. While I’m spending hours cleaning the house, my heating and cooling systems are most likely contaminated with dust and debris. I know that seasonal upkeep is essential to the smooth performance of my HVAC unit. The last thing I want to deal with is a sudden malfunction. I’ve noticed that my furnace isn’t keeping the house as warm as it used to. My air conditioner isn’t as good at handling the humidity in the house anymore. Because I know that I will procrastinate and never schedule service, I’ve enrolled in a maintenance plan. I’m letting the HVAC professionals keep track of the cleaning, tuning, and inspection. They’ll call me up when it’s time to service the heating and cooling unit. They’ll show up at my doorstep, and handle all the essential tasks that ensure reliable, efficient, and efficient performance.
